Movement E-Motion (MEM)

Movement E-Motion is AZDance's most inspirational and educational outreach program. This dance program, shortened to "MEM", is designed to increase physical activity, movement, expression and dance for individuals age 13 to seniors with Down Syndrome, Autism and those with physical challenges.

Created and directed by Kenda Newbury, this dance program for individuals with different abilities was implemented in September 2005 with thanks from a grant from the Molly Lawson Foundation and the Arizona Community Foundation. Past support is from the Rotary Club of Anthem, Friends of AZDance Group and Kenda Newbury. Currently, it is financed by Ms. Newbury herself.

CLASSES - a dance class and performance program for young adults with Down Syndrome, Autism and/or Physical Challenges - Wednesdays 2:15-3:30pm, currently held at Bender Performing Arts (32nd Street/Beardsley). 

Do NOT contact studio for information. Placement class required. Registration fee $50. Spring 2012 classes January to May.
